Dear fans and friends of The Aletheia,
We hope your Summers are going well. We’ve been busy reviewing submissions for the Fall issue. It’ll be a good one. Expect the new chapbook to be available around the start of September. Regarding our student, faculty, and alumni features, expect new ones starting in August.
Among the first faculty features this Fall is University of Houston Creative Writing professor Nick Flynn. In case the news hasn’t reached you, Flynn’s spectacular memoir Another Bullshit Night in Suck City was recently adapted into a feature film titled Being Flynn. It stars Robert De Niro as Flynn’s father and Paul Dano, whom you may remember as Eli from There Will Be Blood, as Flynn himself. The lovely Julianne Moore also stars as Flynn’s mother. See the movie wherever you can and read our interview with Flynn in August.
While our features won’t return for a little while, feel free to stop by here throughout June and July. We’ll have the occasional post and cool links. And if you haven’t already seen it, check out our Spring 2012 chapbook: Spring 2012 Chapbook. Best wishes and happy creating.
